For The Win/ter Break

My big question is why do people say that dogs see different colors from what we see if they cant see from a dog's perspective? A dog can't speak to us and see what it can and can't see. If you think training Is the answer I don't buy it because just like we humans miss understand stuff and don't know sometimes what people tell us dog's can do the same. For winter I am going to take advantage of not having homework and train on my speed and conditioning for speed. Also stay up late watching movies and playing games. My brother will also be coming in town and I would like to spend some time with my mom and brother.

My essay

A dynamic character is a character that under goes changes and isn't the same as they were when we (the readers) were introduced. In the book Les Mis there was one character that stood out the most to me. That was Jean Valjeaan.
When we first get introduced to Jean Valjean is this character that is sorta a father figure for his sister and her kids. I see him as being a father figure by the way he won't let them starve. When we had recently learned about him we knew that he got a good amount of years in jail for stealing some bread.
After he had been released from jail he was trying to fit in. Jean Valjean tried to be nice and get a place to stay and eat but once the owners saw he was In jail for a while they threw him out onto the street. Later In the book he met the pope. The pope was this kind guy who helped anyone even if they were rich, poor, or even an ex trouble maker like Jean Valjean. Jean Valjean later in the book steals from the pope. He gets caught by the police. They bring him back to the pope and ask him if he gave him the silver ware. The pope says yes and asks them to let Jean Valjean go. The pope even gave him more silver than what he had already stole. In this part of the book Jean is a backstabber to the pope who helped him.
Finally towards the end of the chapter on Jean Valjean he becomes embarrassed of him self. He starts to weep because he has been so cruel to the people he had just met. He got to this point because he had stole a silver coin from a random boy that had just passed by. When the boy left Jean Valjean could not find the boy. Jean had a flash back on what the pope had told him. The pope said that he had bought Jean's freedom. It hit him he started weeping and was embarrassed about him self. This was the last change we (readers) saw him undergo.
 Jean Valjean did not stay the same throughout the whole the portion of the book the book we read he went through major changes not just once but multiple times . This character changes because the pope words had just hit him and he realized. how bad he had been. The character gave me a suspense feel when he was stealing the silver ware from the pope. I also saw a bit of suspense.

What’s love got to do with it

Today we talked about making food and doing whatever you do with love instead of just making it cause it’s ur hustle. We talked about how whatever your doing with love comes out successful. I believe that because I’ve tried food in restaurants that I would usually have in my home and they don’t taste the same because they are making it just for their money. Compared to a home meal when it’s made with love it taste better like their isn’t anything you would rather eat that moment.

Calling My Shot

I think I will do good on my exam tomorrow. I had already been thinking of ideas on what to write about while my teacher was talking. I was thinking of using Jean Valjean. I was gonna write on how he went from this sorta father figure of his family because he  would steal bread for them. To being cruel to the only person that had helped him. At the end having redemption and weeping.

Something that on my mind

On my mind right now is on what I am going to do. Like where am I going to end up how my life is going to be after school. I know how I want it to be right now which is making it to college football and from there try to be a pro. Its a tight window to fit through but I believe I can do it and hopefully I end up actually living it. The next thing I was thinking of how I would end up would be is a navy seal. I really like the navy and I think it is cool how they are like the go to people to do any type of job because they're trained in lots of different fields and so efficient in each of them.

Lurking Lit Techniques

I wanted to point out the setting in todays reading. Pages 114 to about 120 was talking about how France was doing. By that I mean what was going on with France like who was the king at that time. Also about what had just happened to Napoleon and his defeat. I had just finished reading from 108 to 113 and I saw a bit of foreshadowing. When Jean Valjean had stole the coin from the boy it was talking about how if he wants to become evil he must become a demon if he wants to become good he must become an angel. Go a bit further in the book to 113 it was about Jean weeping and I see it as Jean sorta redeeming him self. I also saw a bit of a Dynamic character in there because Jean before him weeping was this hard stone cold robber that had been made into that mold by being in prison so long who would steal from those who helped him. To now realizing how bad he has been and weeping over how terrible he had been.

What I do on the weekends

On the weekends after a long week of school I like to relax and catch up on work or even get a head start on the homework for the upcoming week. Saturdays I like to either play games like Madden which is a football game or even NBA 2k which is a basketball game. If I'm not doing that I'm on my phone watching TV shows or sleeping. Sundays is a work day for me because I finish up my homework and then get started on some worksheets for class.

Something I’m thinking about

Right now I’m thinking about my elementary memories. The reason I’m thinking about this was because me and Jovanny were talking about what we did during elementary. Like we played football and then what happened to our old teachers and what we think they are doing. We were also talking about our old friends and wondering where they ended up now. We planed to go back and try to see them.

Here is your silver

I wasn’t surprised with the bishop realsing jean valjean from being incarcerated. I wasn’t surprise with his action because thought out the whole book the author was giving us information on the bishop being this unselfish guy. Also before Jean had showed up with the brigadier the bishop had said that “the silver belongs to the poor which he is “. Yes I think he is a good role model because he doesn’t have a hateful mindset he could’ve easily put Jean behind bars again.

Inciting incident

I like it when they give me a whole bunch of information on a character because for me it feels like I’m actually there next to the character. For me it feels like I’m their friend. It also gives you a strong surprise if they end up doing something that’s out of character. Like today we read about Jean Valjean stealing some silver ware from the pope. Jean came in the book and they dedicated a section in the book to him where it talked about how his time in jail started. I thought that Jean had changed or wasn’t like that because he was saying how he was innocent and then he stole silverware from the pope.

My semester goal

I wanna aim for at least an A in this class because I feel like I have done everything possible to get all the blog post down and finishing up reading les mis. I feel like my blogging has gotten better than before when I was barley starting. I have done my best to get better at what my teacher has asked me to do. The way imma get to my goal is trying really hard and working twice as much from getting it done with class work and blogs to helping out my partners get there work done so they can succeed in there goals.

Working with my lit circle is a bit frustrating so far because there is a lot of worked to be done and a we are trying hard but there is always someone in the group including me who can slack off a bit and mess up our grade. I think from the time now and by the time we got to turn it in will be a bit all over the place and stressful but I have confidence that me and my circle will be able to finish this assignment and get a good grade for our first semester.

This book matters

A really good part that has been with me ever since we read and we are actually still reading about it is not fearing people based on there past. In Les Mis the pope is always talking to all the people and trying to help them which most people fear. I see people who have a troubled past differently now because you don't know if they are trying to change so why judge off their past. You wouldn't want anyone to treat you bad just cause of your past even though you are trying to change. If we spread more positivity around the world we can make this a happier place and change it from how bad it is now to how good the world has the potential to really be.

Staying power

After I read a book there isn't a lot of stuff that sticks with me. The only couple of things that stay with me are the juicy parts. What I mean by the juicy parts is the good bits. The parts that everyone wants to read. The parts I consider juicy would be fights, and arguments everything that causes conflict I like and sticks with me.

Learning alone and together

Learning independently is learning by yourself u have no one to make connections with and collaborative learning is learning with someone else and being able to share ideas with that person. Collaborative learning works better for me because I like hearing what someone else thinks and comparing it with what I think. I do that so that I can get a better feel for it and understand it better. If my answer isn’t similar with someones then it’s easy to ask someone where they found it and why they think that. Independent learning doesn’t work for me because I get tired and bored by myself and I won’t learn that way.

My big question/November

My question was about wanting to know how people say that dogs can only see black and white. How do they know colors they can just choose a random colors like they didn’t go to school and learn basic stuff like that

My memory of reading

I remember a good amount of what we have read so far there isn’t that much that i forgot. I still remember that Monsieur was so kind and everyone looked up to him but he didn’t fit in with anyone else. I remember that he was rich before he went to Italy but when he came back he was a new man and started helping people out before he helped himself. He was also very brave for leaving his door unlocked every day for anyone whom may need help. He would go to all sorts of places by himself to help people who there peers where scared of.

Les mis today

My mom reminds a bit of Monsieur Bienvenu because like him he goes around helping people giving them money because stuff has happened with them. Recently my mom did sorta the same thing because her friends family house had just burned down in Mexico and she had helped by giving them a couple hundred bucks and donating some clothes to them. The judgement of people in les mis is still the same as it is today. In the book the lady with Monsieur Bienvenu tells him to lock the door because there is this dangerous guy who just got out of jail in town. She was talking about Jean even tho he seems nice offering to pay for a place to eat and sleep. It reminds me of trump when he said all Mexicans are rapist drug lords and all that just because a couple of us are bad. When Monsieur goes around in the begging trying to spread the word of GOD also reminds me of my mom because my mom does the same thing. Whenever she sees that her friend or someone even on the street she sets up something sorta like a meeting and she sits down with them and eats and tells them that there is hope in GOD and if you have him your life you should never worry because everything will turn out find.

Les mis and the French Revolution

One connection is that in the book the poor were afraid of the rich and wealthy because they were being controlled by the wealthy. During French Revolution It was the same thing the poor had it hard and were getting controlled by the rich. Another one is that G— was an executor for the people who broke the law in France during the revolution when he was younger.

Les mid part 1 summary

Mognseiur bienvenu was not always so kind like how the author makes him seem. Before he was a pope he was living a good life. He was wealthy and healthy. He tracked of to Italy and once he came back he was a new man. He had changed from his old self. Now he was generous, caring, and not judgemental. He goes around helping people that people fear like thiefs. He doesn’t care about what bad the people have done. Nor does he care if they are still doing it. He just wants to help out. Monsieur Bienvenu doesn’t take offensive when G— calls him out and says he isn’t as good as people say. He says he’s just a rich person with no emotion towards anyone but him self. But then
Monsieur beinvenu tells him what he has done and how he got to his house.

Monsieur Bienvenu is a man of faith throughout the whole book we are reading right now he is always is being so trustful of people he doesn’t know. In the book mongsuier Bienvenu was going to see G—- and was instead to take guards with him so no burglars mess with him. Instead he doesn’t take the advice and goes on by him self to see G—. Monsieur Bienvenu doesn’t even lock his doors at night he goes to bed with his door always unlocked and believes no one will go inside and do something bad. He always leaves his door unlocked so that if people need help they are welcomed.

Although the author spent so much time making this character seem so good. He mad us all sorta look up too him with his generosity. He lets us know something that we didn’t expect. When the author let us know my whole class was surprised. The author told us that he doesn’t fit in with anyone else in his community or no one in general. It’s crazy to think because he seems like such a good man  that we all aspire to be like just to know he doesn’t fit in. Another thing that we read about today was him taking in people today. Jean didn’t have anywhere to rest because he had gotten kicked out of everywhere. He decided to sleep on a stone step until a lady asked him what he was doing. He responded with I have nowhere to go I’ve been everywhere everyone has chased me off. I knocked at ever door. The lady asks have u knocked there and points to the popes home. Jean says no. The lady tells him go knock there. It’s Monsieur Bienvenus house. Jean explains him self to him and asks if he can stay. Beinvenu says yeah. He then takes him in and feeds him as well as gives him a place to sleep.

I think jean is a nice person and tries to be nice to everyone by using his manners but people are treating him poorly and asking him to leave

Monseignuer Bienvenu

Mongseignuer Bienvenu doesn’t fit in with the rest of the people in his community. He is very generous kind and doesn’t judge anyone which is crazy to think that he doesn’t fit in.

Success

Victor Hugo spent so much time giving us details on Monsieur Bienvenu on how he was as a person. He would tell us how he would help the unfortunate on how he never judged anyone if u needed help or guidance he would provide it. Monsieur looked so perfect in our eyes made him admired by us on how generous he was. The section that we read today was Victor Hugo told us that Monsieur didn’t fit in with rest of the people. He told us that so that we can see success isn’t all about having money it’s about knowing that you gave it your all and becoming the best that you are capable of becoming.

Intellectual opposites attract

When Bienvenu argues with G——- I find that the most interesting part is when he calls out Bienvenu and says he isn’t all perfect as he thinks he is. G—- told Bienvenu that he was just rich and wealthy and didn’t care about anyone else. Then Bienvenu tells him that it’s true. Then he tells him everything that he has done and what he did to go see G——. Later then G—- calms down and apologize the interesting part in the argument is how Bienvenu calmed him down without yelling at him.

Get to know me

Now days we usually get to know people from either Instagram or in class. In Instagram there is a section of people you can follow that u might know in your area and that’s how a good amount of people meet each other and hit off. Another one of the ways people meet is in class you just start talking to some random person and they usually will want to keep talking to you so they will ask you for your social media usernames and then that’s how you would keep in contact with someone out of school.

What’s this all about

M. Myriel is a character that went to Italy rich wealthy. When he came back from Italy he had changed he was now generous. He goes out and gives money to people who need it more. He gave up his big home so that the people in the hospital didn’t live all cramp so he took the room that the patients were in. He had faith in everyone in his community. So much that he would leave the door unlocked. M. Myriel wouldn’t judge anyone. If the rich wealthy people needed some help he would help them out as well. He wouldn’t even be worried about bandits stealing from him he said if they came across him that he would help guide them to god path. He said they needed someone to tell them about the word of god. Les Míserbles is mostly about what M. Myriel does and how he does it.

What a character

Characteristics of M. Myriel was one generous. He is generous because he gave up his home and gave it to the people who needed it more that were crowded in the hospital. M. Myriel was also not judge mental. He would help the poor and the rich. If that was me I wouldn’t help rich people cause they don’t really need anything. Another one is he is faithful. He doesn’t lock his door at night when he sleeps because he is faithful that nothing will happened. He was caring as well he always donated money to the poor and never kept his money to himself. He had the ability to change as well. When he left for Italy he was rich wealthy and wasn’t doing the things that he was doing now. After he came back he changed and started being generous.

Today we read the charger how the pope protects his house. He doesn’t do anything like action wise with a weapon to protect him self. He leaves his door unlock. He just has trust that nothing is gonna happen.

Summary

While we read the book we came up with what M. Myriel does on his free time. M. Myriel spends his free time reading and writing. M. Myriel would read about the Bible. M. Myriel would also write about what he read in the Bible. M. Myriel would visit the poor but if he can’t visit the poor or doesn’t have any people he visits the rich. M. Myriel doesn’t eat breakfast until it’s lunch time.

What makes you want to listen

I think suspense and tone make a book or story good because you want to know what the next step in the story is. Like for example stephon king is a good author that does that. Everybody at least knows one of his suspense books like IT OR CHILDREN OF THE CORN. Which both are books that are filled with a scary tone and suspense. Relating it to something in our life makes a book good too because you can break it down more and understand it more since you have already gone through it.

So long as there shall exist...

There is many problems going on at this time. People are suffering because people are blind and cant see the wrong that other people are going through. Starvation, abuse by the rich, and Poverty. People aren't looking at all the bad caused by these problems. Victor Hugo is saying that more books like these need to be publish so we get awareness and help change the world.

Rolling up my sleeves

I feel a bit overwhelmed reading this book. I already have so much on my plate with other classes and sports. That i feel like i'm going to have a hard time reading this book the whole amount time we take to read this book. But i'm doing it with my class and not alone so it should help a bit instead of reading it all by my self.

Children of the corn

The book children of the corn is a book about to people Bert and Vicky theses two couple were traveling on a highway by the corn field. Bert then hits a boy on the highway because Vicky distracts him. He then pulls over finds a brief case in the corn field. He takes both the kid and the briefcase and puts him in the trunk and the briefcase in the car. Bert through out the whole book feels like he is being watched. The couple are deciding on where to take him and if they should report it. Bert wants to record it because he wants to make sure that his family finds out if they're family member is dead or alive. Vicky just wants to leave his body there because she is already scared and wants to leave and put all that behind them. Then the couple end up in a town because of miss leading signs has been pointing them to a ghost town. The couple then gets surrounded by children killers and they have to fight to survive. I think the theme of the book is that don't believe everything a person says. I think this is the theme because the leader of the cult for the kids tells all of them to kill their parents because god said. I think Stephen King woke up that morning with a urge to scare people with the people fear less children. I think he also wanted people to take a step back and really visualize kids a different way. The book used suspense because it makes you feel like you are in the car with them and you are being watched. Children of the corn used repetition a lot because the book was in a constant loop with it always mentioning religion and Bert and Vicky always fighting. The tone seemed dark because who really wants to make a book about kids being killed and kids killing their parents. This book used a lot of irony because the whole book the couple were having an argument about what to do with body and they would never listen to each other. The book also used a couple of things that we can relate to. For example the book takes place by the cornfield most of the time and we all know that corn fields are never a place where something good happens.

Friday Reading

Bert was being tested by Vicky because she had the keys and said you think i wouldn't leave you here alone. She had the care keys in her purse and Bert knew that so he made a move for her bag. She was slow to react but when she did she try to yank the shoulder strap back. Burt was stronger than her and got it. He flipped the bag upside down and everything fell out. Vicky and Bert both saw the keys and went for it but Bert came up with it she said she wanted to leave because she was scared and started crying.

Thursday Rreading

Vicky did not feel safe she was scared and was always laughing so she can stay calm. Bert was concerned and asked are you okay Vicky. Vicky said yes as soon as we get out of here. She didn't wanna be on the highway next to the corn field. Vicky told Bert to turn around and if he didn't she would hold her breath until she turned purple. Bert told Vicky this is someones kids i have to report it.

Wednesday Reading

In the middle of an argument the couple were fighting once again. Bert took his eyes of the road to look at Vicky so she knew that he meant business. When that happened Vicky said Bert watch out. Bert was scared he was begging for it to be a cat but no. When he got out of the car he realized he had ran over a kid.

Tuesday reading

I am reading children of the corn by Stephen King. The part that i read was mainly about explain the characters Bert and Vicky they were married. There relationship wasn't very strong they were always arguing for the smallest reasons. Bert wouldn't like to arguing he was always  wanting for it not to happen but Vicky would always get mad for the smallest reasons.

Fridays les miserables

Im happy that we as a class are wanting to finish the book because im starting to like the book so far and every time class is over i feel kinda mad because the book is leaving me on a cliff hanger. I think that with the acts that people do these days are trying to change up the world but there is not enough good to completely change the world. But i think if people read this book then people would realize the bad we have and would like to change it.

Les Mierables

The biggest book I've ever read was Diary of The Wimpy and it was 216 pages long But it was a fun book that i always like reading because it wasn't like any other book where it was serious and used big words. The diary of the wimpy kid used words that back then i could understand. But now I have seen the true size of Les Miserables and wow that book is really big. I checked the last page and the book is about 1400 pages long witch dam its big.I feel like some days i might be a little sleepy and get tired of reading but i also feel like its gonna be interesting because I read what it was about and I liked it because it was like sorta what we go through now.

Les Miserables

From what i heard today Les miserabales seems like a book i am going to like. The book from what I know is about a poor man named Jean Valijean he got imprisoned for stealing a bread and got a cruel amount of time which originally was 5 years but turned into 19 for trying to escape from prison. Thats exactly how time is right now because if in immigrant or black person commits a crime they get sent to jail or just get deported back to where they come from. People always assume browns and black are affiliated with gangs like that is BS how we get discriminated like that.

Going to war

I think the fear of the king killing the people pushed them to fight in war. In war you have a chance to at least live because in war u have a chance of winning. If they wouldn't go to war then you are guaranteed to be killed. If someone told you would u rather get killed or go to war and have a chance to live which one would you choose I know i would choose the second one because i would be trying to be with my family.

Kanvanaugh

I think that this situation is disturbing but at the same time I feel like people are being hard on Kanvanaugh because everyone shaming on him. I feel like he is gonna get tired of people accusing him so badly and people hating on him. I feel like if I was being attacked that way I would've felt so alone and depressed. That I would've changed my identity and escape all that mess. But also its wrong that Brett possibly raped Dr. Ford. So if he is guilty he should be punished heavily.

My Story

My name is Alex Ramirez I've always wanted to be a navy seal and help protect my country. Today and for the rest of the month I get to show these sergeants what I can do. The workouts were hard we had to do so many push ups, long swims, and long runs in sand with wet clothes on but i got through it. I was ready to get deployed. I got deployed in Afghanistan. That was were i met my good friend David. David didn't have a real happy life. David's mom had passed away as well with his dad when David was 8 years old. The only thing he had left was his girlfriend and she had just been done with him. But some how he still kept a smile on his face. Our base sergeants had told us that we were going on a rescue mission. The Taliban had kidnapped  one of our fellow soldiers Juan. Our rescue team was at the location where the Taliban were holding Juan captive. We had  2 snipers about half a mile. They took out the 2 guards next to the door. Me and David went next to the door we peeked inside and there we could see Juan on the floor. Me and David broke down down the door. All of a sudden we were getting shot at. It was coming from the back so our snipers wouldn't be able to help us cause they couldn't see the Taliban. We decided to make a run for it. One of the Taliban members had thrown a grenade in the house. I yelled GRENADE!!!!! David looked at me I looked back. I jumped for cover with Juan and David jumped on it. He did that to contain the blast. It went off and we were fine. Our back up arrived and took care of the rest of the Taliban. We went back to our base safe because he gave up his life to save ours.

Literature Analysis

The book Of Mice and Men is about to friends that go around looking for a job because they both had to run away from their old job. They had to run away because Lennie accidentally killed a woman. So they both had to run away from that place. They were coming from weed into Soledad Salinas they were going into a ranch to find a job on a farm.George is always a little grumpy because he always has to bail out Lennie out of trouble. They both got the job and by the end Lennie messed it up again. He accidentally killed a the wife of the ranch owner son. The theme of a mice and men is the dream. Lennie and George wanna save up enough money to buy a farm have their own workers and be retired. Based on the authors tone I feel like he woke up grumpy. I feel that way because George was always getting so frustrated and going of on Lennie and bringing up the past which made Lennie feel sad and feel like he didn't matter. Another one is that there was so many character that were always mad all the time. Curly was always upset with Lennie just because he was so big and curly was so small. I discovered 5 literary characteristics in the book of mice and men. The first one was its seriousness of the book. One of the most serious parts is when they kill candies dog. Candy was peered pressure by the workers to put his dog out of his misery. Candy went to his bed and after he heard the gun shot he turned around and just stared at the wall. The book is also really good book when i got to the end I was a upset because it was such a good book in such a small size like the book is only about a hundred pages long. I also saw that the book had some moments that left you wondering what was gonna happen it was a bit suspenseful. Of Mice and Men also had some foreshadow because in the book there was a part where George told Lennie that he is always getting him and himself in trouble so if anything goes wrong to meet up by the creek. By the end of the book Lennie got himself in trouble. The book was also constant. In this book there was a good amount of Deaths. An example is in the beginning when George was talking about Lennie killing a women in a red Dress.Towards the end of the book Lennie had killed Curly's wife on accident. Another example was Candy's dog being killed.

Poetics

Airstole saw poetry as more than one type of writing form. Airstole saw comedy as an epic poetry. He saw common thins that we see everyday and turned into something that is more complex then what we knew. Like for example we all know dancing as something we do to go with music and to get us to get a good work out in. But for Airstole dancing imitates characteristics, emotion and action.

The weekend Review

This week we learned about a stories plot and how to break down a story. We learned about exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. Exposition starts from the beginning like the start of the story. Rising action is when problems start to arise. Climax is the raging point of the problems.  Falling action is when they're getting close to solving the problem. Resolution is when the problem in the story is solved.

Do you like action?  Then you'll love stories that are driven by plot.  Here are the key ingredients to a good plot. Exposition is the part of the plot that gives the background information. Rising action is when the action is building. Climax moment of maximum intensity. Falling is action where we start to learn things. Resolution is when everything is solved.

Whats your big question

I wonder if dogs really see black and white like how people say they do. I don't think so because u cant turn into the dog and see what he sees. People say that scientist can prove that they cant see color but dogs cant understand English so how can they know what to do. Sure you can try to talk to them but they could just simply being playing and we wouldn't know that they weren't doing the test.

The Making Of An Essay

Making an essay can be difficult for lots of people for many different reasons. Usually because people have a hard time finding something to write about. The way I like to write my essays is just right off the bat because its easier to add on then to think for a straight hour and have nothing. To make an essay easier you should have something in mind like something that you have been reading and you actually understand and know it then start writing your body paragraphs which is your evidence and to close it out go over it and make it like a 2 sentence review of what you had just wrote. 

I am GSD

I don't feel like i am an independent learner because i need help to write stuff and there is certain things that i don't understand. When it comes to not understanding then i can just ask somebody i don't have to get frustrated. Once i know what to do then i can actually focus on it and get it done. Usually a person can't get something done unless they are shown what to do. I feel like everyone is an Independent learner because u can just learn something that you have never seen done before.

Writing About Life and Death

                          The story Katha Upanishad is an allegory because it turns death is something that isn't a life form or something we can't see and interact with into a character a person. Often times people take life for granite and don't realize it till they have a close encounter with death. That's when people really wake up and start double thinking stuff they do and that they might wanna change their life of living. Like they might want to do certain stuff differently.

                          Nachiketa symbolizes whats best by being a teen by being able to be curios because in the book Nachiketa gets 3 wishes from death and the first to wishes were like whatever too him he wanted them but his last wish was his most important. The last one was that he wanted to know what it was like after death like what happened. Death offers him money, fame, and all the things a person think what make them happy but not Nachiketa didn't want any of that stuff he was curious and stuck with his original wish which impressed death.

                       I think the author wanted to represent Death represent as a genie. A genie is something I'm pretty sure we all know because they can grant wishes and that is exactly what death does in this book. I think the author did that on person so we can have more a feeling and understand it more. If the author wouldn't have made a connection like this book would've been more difficult to understand because nobody has ever met death because its impossible and we just simply can't.

                       Katha upanishad relates to things that we should all know which makes the book easier to understand. Life is something we should all take more advantage of. We should living to the fullest without any hold backs because you only have one life. Death could come out of nowhere and just finish with you not everyday is guaranteed.

I think that the section that I read is accurate because everyone as a kid is very curious and doesn't like being told no. For me when I was denied it pushed me more I wanted to do it bad. Like when people told me I would never be a good football because I was to slow and fat it just pushed me to get slimmer gain speed and try harder. But the main motivator I had was my mom. She has always done so much for me and I want to get her out of the struggle. So every time I line up on someone I think of them trying to stop me from making my mom happy so I get angry and just blow them back and do my best to make the play.

How I Learn

For me it's hard to manage time since I am a student athlete and I have to keep my grades up if I wanna play football. So I am always on tight schedule every year especially now that I'm on varsity practices are way longer cause we are trying to win and go back to were we were last year which was CIF finals and actually win it this time. The way I learn is by just trying to stay focus in class so I wont have to come in at lunch or after school to try and understand the lecture because if I come in after school then it would take away from my after school team study hall and I only have about 40 minutes before we have to begin practice. So after I'm down with practice I go home eat and shower then I begin doing my homework. If I'm feeling really tired that day then I will usually do half of my homework that night and just wake up early to finish the rest of my homework. I try to stay on top of my homework by just remembering it. Then I go home go through each period in my head and seeing what I need to do. Then the next day I just follow the routine again.

I recited Richard Cory in my class. I learned that just cause your rich doesn't mean that your always gonna be happy. Because with money people will usually be fake with you and take advantage of you and you don't know who are the real and who are the fake. That gets so bad that you don't hang out with people because you just don't become really lonely and you end up killing yourself.

The Right to your Opinion

Having an opinion is important because without it the world would be more hectic than what it already is. It's important because not everyone has the same feeling on stuff. Like the presidential election not everyone has the same feeling on stuff. Like the presidential election not everyone agreed on Trump being the next president because of how racist he was being to blacks and browns. But if we got the right to an opinion taken away I'm pretty sure that there would be a whole lot of more racist presidents running this country because colored people wouldn't have been able to fight back and stand for what they believe in. 

The Socratic method

 The Socratic method is a way of challenging a person to think more or to see if they know the answer supposedly they say they know. Anybody can hear a right answer but not really know the evidence to back up their answer. I think it's a good way of teaching because it challenges the student to pay attention and actually know the stuff and what causes led up the an event. If a student has an answer but can't back up their claim with evidence how would they truly be able to understand it. They wouldn't be able to and they would just forget about it in a couple of days.
