Les book v les movie

In the book it shows Fantine being care for by Jean Valjean and the 2 sisters. In the movie it skips over that and straight into Javert apologizing to Jean Valjean. In the book it also talked about how Fantine got pregnant and how she felt. In the movie it didn’t it skipped to Fantine working in the Factory. In the book it talked about Fantine leaving Cosotte with the Thernadiers and in the book It skipped it and again into the Factory.

Monkey see/ hear/ do

I think auditory will be the most effective way of learning. I’m going to use it because I want to talk about the important evidence and not just rely on a video to talk about the test. For auditory I'm going to talk about the test. For visual I’m going to show the test being performed. Kinesthetic I’m going to use the lights as an example of a test being done on us.

Dynamic Character

Jean Valjean is a dynamic character. There has been a lot of changes since we were first introduced to him. In some ways I guess you can say he went back to his old ways. Now its not just him fending for himself. He has to be cautious because he is caring someone else with him on his journey.

When we first met Jean Valjean he was a criminal and only was worrying about him. He would rob anyone it didn't matter how old or whoever helped. We had good examples of that through out the first 30 minutes of meeting him. He stole from Mognseiur Bienvenu who was kind enough to give Jean Valjean Shelter. He even stole from little Jarvis which was boy who dropped his coin and Jean Valjean took the opportunity to take the coin from him and not say a word.

Jean Valjean changed a couple pages later. He was now the Mayor of his own town. No one knew his old past so he didn't have to worry about being rejected for being a convict. He took that as an opportunity to change his whole personal character. He was caring for everyone. He would still break in into houses but not to take anything or do any harm. He would do this to leave gold for those owners of the houses he broke into. He did this so often as soon as people saw gold they knew who exactly it was. He started caring for everyone in his town. When Fantine was involved with drama in Jean's town he didn't get mad he released and did the same that Mognseiur Bienvenu once did for him he gave her shelter.

Jean Valjean went back to sorta of his old criminal ways. It was for a good reason even though it was bad at the same time. He gave Fantine his word before she died that he would go get Cosette. Jean Valjean had a rough time getting to Cosette as he was sentenced for Jail for all his crimes committed when he was younger. He turned himself in because an innocent guy was about to get all the charges that were towards Jean Valjean as the guy was mistaken for the real Jean Valjean. He got arrested for all those charges but he remembered his promise and broke out of Jail to go look for Cosette. He was now considered a Convict on the run.

Jean Valjean has changed in many more ways these are only a few. He went from bad to good with a mix. These reasons  as I read the book convinced me that Jean was not a static character but a Dynamic character.

Fauchelevent

Fauchelevent is a good character because he helps Jean Valjean. All the nuns think Jean Valjean is dumb but really he isn’t he acts dumb and even has a good speech he uses big words when he talks. . Today we read about Fauchelevent and Jean Valjean making a plan to get Jean Valjean and Colette a spot to sleep at.

My big question

Some people think research is boring because they have to do it for class and it’s usually about something that’s not interesting. But today I did research and it was awesome. Here’s how I did it I went to google and got straight to the point and typed are dogs color blind. I found some really interesting facts about it. The websites told me about how they test the dogs what cause some confusion in dogs seeing colors. I even learned that dogs confuse green and red.

Weekend Goals

Well reading a lot of Les Mis lately it has gotten me thinking out in the real world like trying to be a good smaratian and helping out the poor or the helpless. I try to be as nice as I can to everyone I meet. I like helping out the homeless because I feel like they need it the most. Also I learned how to keep someone quiet that doesn’t know the situation ur in. Like how Jean Valjean  told Cosette that thernadiers was going to take if she wasn’t quiet and she stayed quiet.

Jean Valjean in another strange situation

Jean Valjean met Facuelevent again. Facuelevent Was a man that Jean Valjean knew earlier in the book. We got to see him in the book too. The first time we met him was when we barley met new Jean Valjean for the first time since back when we barley met his olds sorta thuggish personality. Facuelevent Was the old crippled guy under the wagon that Jean Valjean first picked up. Further in the book we meet him again later in the book and he gives Jean Valjean a place to stay and hide from Javert as sorta a way of paying him off for saving his life.

A sense of place

I think victor hugo begins with so many details to get the reader involved more to make the reader feel like he knows the place to his imaginations max potential. No I don’t agree with history sometimes because sometimes it’s too much and is still causing problems at this moment. No the places I group up in didn’t really have an effect on me because I knew if my mom caught me stepping outside the box i was going to get a good beating out of it.

BQ thoughts

I really haven’t been doing anything to research the question. I feel like I don’t have enough time because I just get so caught up with homework from other classes and trying to study for test from those classes. Another reason I don’t have time on the weekends is because I have been going outta town a lot recently because my grandma has been getting sick so we go to support her and help her out. I would really like to work on this big question but not outside of school I feel like if we had a couple of days in class it would be pretty helpful.

My online me

When I searched for my self on the internet my football awards and other related stuff came up. Santa Maria times came up. It was a picture of me sacking the Quarter Back. I also popped up when I was blocking for my friend when he was running the ball. I also came up on round table. It where they give pizza to the areas athletes and I got to go to it. It was a pretty fun experience.

Good morning

I learned today that I have to stop hitting the snooze button because it makes me late. Today I only had 6 mins to get here on time and I only got here on time cause my cousin gave me a ride. But it’s frustrating when I wake up late and get to school late cause I wanna get here on time I just go to bed late cause when I do my hw it takes me a good amount of time. My good habit is that I can get ready in only a few minutes.

Todays takeaways

Today in class I learned how to better my lit circle doc. I saw my classmates lit circles and I liked how they were organized. They were organized with pages to where they got the information. All of the sections were done they looked nice and it looked like they really cared to do it.

Reading Me

Yeah I read when I’m not in school. I read les miserables. The only reason I read is because my teacher ask me to and i know he isn’t just telling me to do stuff for random reasons or just because but ik it’s going to make me better for the next level. I also read cause I want to just get my stuff over and done with.

When the cats away the mice go to work

On the days you were gone I read to page 400. I read about Cosette's first time having a feel for freedom. A traveler talked to Thernadier and bought Cosette some happiness. Thernadier as we know loves money and will do anything to get money. So the traveler which they call a Carter in the book asked how much it would be. Thernadier gave a price and he paid. Cosette was scared so she asked if she could play Thernadier angrily said yes.

Life with Cosette

I think Cosette got used to the abuse she is put everyday which is sad and no child should be used to that type of torture. She has never experienced a nice person in her life so how could she know. She has only experienced pain being brought out on her by the thernadiers. I think she sees this as just a lifestyle everyone lives.

Mr. Nice guy

I think when people do kind things it makes them feel good I don't think it does anything for the person but I think it passes on to the next person. It then becomes a cycle of being nice. I don't think you can be nice by acting nice because sometimes deep down you can be hating something and it just eliminates the point of doing a good deed.

Recipe for a happy life

To make a happy Adult hood I think you need to learn to get over situations or bumps in the road. I say this because some people like serial killers, rapist, etc. Are hurt deep inside and that is why they take it out on other people because they are so tired and sad of their situation so they have to resort to hurting other people. I think it depends on a good child hood most of the time because when I was younger my dad walked out on me, my brother, and my mom and it was bad my mom had to take care of me and my brother. It effected me more then it did my brother because I was younger my grades were dropping I was getting in a lot of trouble but a couple years later I got over it and just said I cant do anything about it other than help out the one who stayed with me so I just started doing better in school. So yeah I think ones child hood has an effect on a persons adult hood.

French History and Les Mis

I know a couple things about the French Revolution. I know that the King Louis the 16 was out here wasting the towns money on party's with other important people while his people of his town were struggling. The King would also spend it on lavish clothes and on the military. But very few of that money was spent on food close to none was being spent on food. So food prices started going up it was really hard for people to feed their family's and somedays they wouldn't eat at all. Moms where getting really mad cause if someone is hurting a mothers kid lets just say your going to be in deep trouble. So the mothers of France marched the Versailles which was where the kings palace was at and the guards that tried to stop the women were then killed by the women had there heads chopped off and put on sticks. They then forced the king to bring the prices down and to promise them he would provide more for the people. The king agreed for now. The king later did the same thing and the village brought him to town and did an execution for the king and any one who had been associated with him. Napoleon was considered an emperor because he had curfews for the people of France and if anyone was caught outside pass curfew there would be consequences. Napoleon also restored peace in France by himself.
